Alan Davis Jr. - Organ/Piano

Bob Tewksbury
Born in London, England, Alan comes from a family of entertainers. His father, a gifted pianist who, among his other achievements, played on radio during the second world war; his mother, a contortionist and one half of a "yoga act".
From the flute, his first instrument, he went on to the saxophone as his main instrument, playing with a big band in England. After being accepted into the British Parachute Regiment as a bandsman, he started his musical career in earnest.
After some years serving his "apprenticeship" working the clubs and functions around London, he started being hired for work on Ferries leaving England, session work in recording studios, and then progressed onto cruise ships for a cruise line based in Piraeus, Greece.
In 1986 he transferred onto piano/keyboards full time.
The next twelve years saw him working as a musician on various cruise lines - variously cruising the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, and the baltic states, and many trips to America during this period.
In between ship "gigs", he would take residencies in hotels abroad, and this included a long residency at the "Forte Grand Pyramids" in Giza, Egypt.
Nowadays, Alan lives in the beautiful mountain town of Suches, Georgia, where he enjoys riding motorcycles, hiking with his faithful border collie, Abbie, and photographing the beautiful scenery.

Ken Silverman - Guitar

Ken Silverman
Guitarist Ken Silverman hails from the Bronx, New York. By day, he is a hybrid scientist-engineer designing medical devices and packaging, with much of his career dedicated to the eradication of cancer and the management of autoimmune diseases.
Music has been his lifelong passion. Ken minored in music in college and studied jazz improvisation privately with Michael Fitzgerald, Chris Jentsch, Guy Capuzzo, and Dave Frackenpohl. His guitar influences include Jim Hall, Wes Montgomery, Jimmy Raney, Pat Martino, Kenny Burrell, Grant Green, and Joe Pass. While he strives to authentically speak the bebop language, he believes in paying homage to the masters not by walking in their footsteps, but by seeing what they sought. His playing is deeply emotive, always seeking to make the language his own.
